Attending the Art Institute of Houston, I studied commercial art. I have worked as a graphic designer for many years. Since 1996, I have vigorously pursued the fine art side of things.

I truly believe that having the ability to create art, to draw or paint, to render something with skill, is a gift that can be nurtured. Various opportunities have allowed me to share my know-how and allowed me to instruct both publicly and in private.

Creating artwork as a whole is a gratifying experience. By creating art I am literally asking a viewer for a response. For acceptance. For understanding. For a moment, to be drawn into the world as I see it. To share in an experience or a thought. To evoke an emotion or a change. I feel it is essential to use the gift of being an artist to, hopefully, ideally, tell the world who you really are.
